Amelia's Animals

Amelia's great-grandfather and grandfather were both Vets with a practice in Broadway, Worcestershire.

Although Amelia loves animals very much, and wouldn't squash a fly, She never really thought that she could stomach followig in the family footsteps (rather squeamish).

So instead she draws and paints the animals, telling their stories through her beautiful silk paintings.

 Prudence Poodle

Prudence, Pru for short is far from being your standard standard poodle. In fact she considers herself tobe quite special (it must be all of those hours spent in the doggy parlour). She loves to lead the way on walks but just can't abide getting all muddy and mucky, after all she does pride herself upon her appearance!

 Sid Seagull

Sid is a bit of a solitary Gull. It's not that he doesn't like the company of the other Seagulls it's more that he likes to swoop and soar in a big empty sky, and he is not one for sharing his chips! You will usually hear him before you see him and his voice always evokes a feeling of being on holiday. His favourite things are fish (freshly caught) and chips.

 Peneolpe Pigeon

Penolope is a rather round, rather greedy pigeon. She does like to fly but it is usually in search of some tasty morsel. The other pigeons think that she is a bit of a looker and would like to ruffle her feathers.

Lionel Lion

Lionel likes his meat very rare and is rather partial to a jammy dodger biscuit. He likes to spend his days roaming around the farm and has lots of fun chasing butterflies and scaring the other animals with his ferocious roar.

Celia Cow

She is a soppy old thing, she likes nothing more than to be scratched behind her ears, and will happily share her milk with any of the young orphaned animals. For a special treat she loves a bucket full of fresh cammomile to munch on {maybe thats why she is so chilled out}

Gerald and Geraldine Giraffe

The Mr and Mrs on the farm are very much still an item despite rumours to the contrary. They are very laid back in their approach to life enjoying nothing more than a good stretch of the neck to reach the juicy new leaves atop their favourite tree.

Burt Bat

Burt comes from a long line of circus bats and really is a bit of a show off. He loves to perform tricks at dusk and is rather partial to midge soup and custard.

Sheila Sheep

Very easily startled sheila is the most timid of the animals and is in her element when alone in a big field chomping away on the fresh grass.

Flutterbys

The social butterflies and little fat bumble bees, spend their time fluttering about looking beautiful .

Heather Horse

Heather is a rather fine young filly. She is full of beans and loves to play with the others. Her favourite treats are fresh grass and sugar cubes.

Henrietta Hen and her Sisters

Henrietta and her sisters spend their days happily pecking and scratching about. They sometimes squabble amongst themselves but Reggie calms them down. Laying eggs is a favourite pastime along with chattering and clucking.

Reggie Rooster

Reggie rises every morning to sing cock a doodle do waking the farm from a lazy slumber. He likes to keep his Hens in order (noisy rabble) and just loves worms.

Digby Dog

Digby is fast on his feet and very inquisitive. He busies himself with keeping the other animals in line (well someone has got to do it!). For fun he likes to tear around in circles and bark at the hens. His favourite treat is a big bone followed by peanut butter and cheese.
